The Campa-Tracka V3
Fully collapsible, portable, around 9kg weight, amazingly simple setup. PLEASE NOTE; The solar panels in the photos are Not included.
I recieved a lot of interest and many enquiries since I listed the first Campa-Tracka "V1 & V2" on ebay.com.au. And one question popped up in most of those enquiries. "I'd like to see more strength and stability. I am concerned about the single rear leg". Almost every email asked the same question. And I always listen to what people say. I have had two panels on the V2 and when tied down as I suggested, it was fine. And one thing most would not realize is, that once you attach your panels, this actually stiffens the whole framework of the Campa-Tracka V2. But, I was asked, so here it is; " The Campa-Tracka V3, dual panel 4 legged portable solar tracker.
The length of the tracker, when folded, is still just on one mtr long. It may be about 1 kg to 1.5 kg heavier. If you look closely at the top pivot arm you will notice I have the arms at about 900mm wide, with adjustable sliding extensions; this was done to enable the fitting of two panels up to around 1400mm wide in total. And, to keep the Tracker under Australia posts 104 cm long posting length. Plus it keeps the Campa-Tracka v3 an easy to pack and carry length for you when traveling. Also, look closely at the rear, longest legs, you'll also see I have fitted leg extenders for more elevation in the winter months. These, along with nylon turned bushes for the actuator and pivot arms, plus the extra leg and extra butterfly hinges and extra bolts etc, have added to cost somewhat. However, my aim has always been to keep tracka at a reasonably affordable cost for buyers. When can you have one? Right now! The Price: $385.00 aud Click on the "How to Order" Button to buy. I will also have this Tracker listed on ebay, so depending if sells from ebay or from here; there may be a two day delay as I assemble another. However, I should have another ready for sale by about the 28 to 29th of December. The tracker in these photos is a dual-purpose frame; meaning you can remove the two rear legs and use just one leg. This I believe is handy if you ever sell your two lower amp panels and buy one larger amp panel. Also, the extra holes you see in the spine will hold spare bolts, washers and wing nuts; should you be as fumble-fingered as myself, you'll need a spare or two.
